PlaceNet is a registered charity for Placement Officers and Tutors, employers and others concerned with student placements. We represent professionals dedicated to improving the quality and value of student placements in a wide range of subjects.

Professional work placements, especially those taken as part of a course of study, are proven to be of considerable benefit to students. Placements develop a wide range of employability skills and attributes as well as subject knowledge, and a majority of students are offered jobs with their placement organisation on graduation. 

The role of the placement professional is critical in developing student employability and work-related abilities, and in helping them to secure a suitable placement.

PlaceNet was established in 1995 to support the work of university placement professionals and to enhance students’ placement experiences.
