istPlus offers an extensive range of programmes – internships/students' work experience as part of a course – in, mostly, the US but increasingly in a wide variety of other countries such as Australia, New Zealand, China, Thailand. PlaceNet has been involved with istplus for a number of years and members recommend fully their services and student support.
RateMyPlacement
Set up by ex-placement students from Loughborough this informative and entertaining website gives placement students’ honest feedback on their experiences - what they really liked and enjoyed, how the placement could have been improved. Very useful for students preparing to take a placement and recommended for students and staff alike. PlaceNet is pleased to have had RateMy Placement present to their last two annual conferences - in Buxton (2007) and Brighton (2008).
Fledglings
Fledglings is a dedicated work experience jobs site which offers advertising and recruitment services to companies looking to recruit from universities. PlaceNet has had a long association with the organisation and gratefully acknowledges the support of Fledglings over the years.
